Food For Kids City of Kawartha Lakes has been working to connect Student Nutrition Programs with local farmers and businesses with the goal of increasing the amount of fresh, healthy, and nutritious food available in SNPs, at no additional charge to the school.

Currently, 81% of schools in CKL are participating in this initiative and are receiving fresh local food for their students!

Online donations are used by Food For Kids to assist Student Nutrition Programs in the City of Kawartha Lakes.  All donations are made through Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit. The Health Unit provides Food For Kids with in-kind accounting services.  To ensure your donation goes to the right program please select CKL Food For Kids under “Apply your donation to a specific fund set up by this charity”.
